The best places to ski in Europe 2020

Many people ask me about the best places to ski in Europe 2020.

Fantastic start of the winter season in the alps this year. I couldn’t believe it how much snow the past weeks fell in the alps. I was traveling between Austria, Switzerland, and Italy and enjoyed excellent snow conditions. Ah, I can’t wait to share the best places to ski in Europe 2020.

Furthermore I also want to invite you to visit me at the Arlberg and ski untouched terrain.

I want to inform you about my most favorite ski resorts I want to visit this season. Even if I can call home the most beautiful ski area in the alps – the Arlberg – this ski resorts Id like to visit asap.

LA GRAVE

That is for sure, not a place for a beginner or anyone who does not feel comfortable when wearing free ride skis for dinner. 🙂 I am already dreaming of sending all the special couloirs and ski steep stuff.

Steep color skiing. That’s it. I was in La Grave a couple of years ago. I spent in total 5 days exploring the backcountry and the free ride opportunities. Short of saying – what an insane place to be. I love it and can’t wait to come back again to ski the most famous couloirs.

To get some inspiration about La Grave.

ENGELBERG

Engelberg is my most favorite place to come just before Christmas as they usually get so much snow. Skiing down the Laub is one of my favorite runs. Last year I spent time with Johanna and her Swedish girls’ crew. I instructed and guided them to build up confidence and to have fun.

Since I know Sanne and my love for Sweden, I always stay at the Ski Lodge Engelberg

DOLOMITES

The dolomites. Every year I say the same – now its time to ski the dolomites. I know there are beside awesome groomers lots of interesting touring and freeride runs: the dolomites and its beauty.

I have been racing and skiing in the following ski resorts: Val Gardena, Kronplatz, Vierschach, Obereggen, Seiser Alm, Alta Badia, Falcade, Pozza di Fassa, Marmolada, Carezza Ski, Plose, Bellamonte, 3 Zinnen, Kreuzbergpass, Cortina, San Martino di Castrozza.

The last time I have been skiing in the Dolomites was at San Martino di Castrozza and Alta Badia. For this season, I would like to go to Cortina, 3 Zinnen, and Kronplatz.

By the way, when I was younger, I always did the international race at Plose – I love the pistes there.

COURCHEVEL

The last time I have been traveling to the French alps happened two years ago. What a bummer, time is running. I would love to make it to the French alps this season as I do love the beautiful landscape there. Especially Chamonix, Tignes, or La Grave are places I do love. Courchevel is a place I do like a lot, especially the groomers, which are fabulous. Definitely all places to visit again.

VERBIER

Verbier is a great place to ski. I love the scenery and the freeride skiing there. Although I was not able to travel to Verbier the past 2 years, so now I think its time to go there again. I do hope I can manage to go there, and for sure, I ‘ll let you join on Instagram.

Those are just some inspirations, and I know I should visit my friends in Canada, the US, Sweden, and NZ again. I won’t forget them, and I try to make it happen. Although to travel in Europe is much closer and sustainable.
