FREERIDE DAY SKI ARLBERG
WOW – SKIERS AFTER WORK FREERIDE DAY happened last Saturday at the Arlberg. Blue sky, sun, and fresh powder snow – what a day to start the first-ever SKIERS AFTER WORK FREERIDE DAY.
In total, eight sports enthusiasts from Germany, Austria, and the United States enjoyed the day out in the mountains exploring untouched terrain and snow. The adventure from St Anton passing the Valluga North towards Zürs and Stuben ended up with a lovely late lunch, sun tanning, and Après Ski in St Anton.
Start: 9.00 in St Anton am Arlberg
We welcomed each other and immediately took the gondolas towards Schindler. Our first warm-up run was not that easy, as the conditions were crusty and difficult to ski on, although it was an excellent way to see how the group harmonized and how the people skied.
We straight made our way to the top of the Arlberg – the Valluga. The scenery was stunning, as the weather was awesome. We skied the Valluga Nord and ended up in Zürs.
A view of the participants skied the first the Arlberg – and the Arlberg delivered on its promises. We had beautiful fresh pow turns towards Zürs, and everybody ended up smiling.
We took our last run from Stuben towards Langen, including a pleasant adventure through the trees. We were finishing up the day with a lovely late lunch, including Apres Ski.
WHAT A DAY:
Still not sure which equipment you should get to ski off-piste? I created a blogpost with my MUST-HAVES when skiing off-piste. Curious about the details, read all the tips here.
