I am Nina Gigele a Austrian certified ski instructor and ski guide based in the Alps. This is likely the start of something great to all who want to learn skiing.
Last year during my Skiers After Work Event in Munich I met a guy who joint the community with the goal to learn how to ski. Therefore I found it mind blowing that he made his way talking with people about a sport he never tried before.
How to ski | Advice 1 to learn skiing
Imagine you are standing on top of a mountain, the landscape is covered by fresh snow, the sun is shining. You are enjoying the view, observing the silence and breathing in the clear air.
It is just you wearing skis on top of a mountain. In fact thats what impresses me every day while skiing.
To sum up my first advice regarding learn skiing is being out in nature and enjoying the here and now. It will be your personal mental training.

It is never too late to learn something new. The same with to learn skiing, additionally you will grow as a person.
You learn for life and not on speed, thats why you should trust yourself and commit that you are able to learn skiing this winter. Skiing is a lifelong learning process.

I am a ski instructor and ski guide and I know you might think I just want to sell something, although thats not true. I agree on that its possible to learn skiing on yourself. Furthermore a ski instructor can show you much more than just leaning how to ski.
Given this points, this article should help you to finally get out of your comfort zone and learn how to ski. Everybody has been a beginner, its time to change that now. Start skiing now and you will never stop.
